Person-years is not generally a concern. More like, “how many lives can we save (as in, leave here alive)?”

The key resources are counted in terms of “what are our limitations?” Money is not as a rule in the list unless they’re out of something that can be replaced, like masks and gloves. More often in triage the “resources” are stations, doctors, specialists, and nurses – bearing in mind that although their time is somewhat elastic if you overwork them the quality of care drops and you risk turning them into patients.

Quite so. Correlation: They also fail to recognize short stick ends are in abundance; LOTS of people have been getting them, lately, old/poor/disabled or not.
