LOTRO launched in 2007. I’m actually surprised it’s still turning a profit as it really has a lot of old school MMO jank in it. That said, as it’s the only MMO with that setting, if you want that experience it’s your only choice. I can see a Amazon’s take on the experience being competitive, hopefully they’ve learned from some of the mistakes they made with New World.

I have a feeling Daybreak Games is going to be forced out of the running.
They are small potatoes compared to Jeff B and crew.
