An administrator of a Texas school insists that books sharing the 'opposing' view must be offered alongside those teaching about the Holocaust

Here in VA, Glen Trump-kin is running ads saying that parents should be able to tell schools what to teach, and getting positive reactions to that drivel. Amazing how many folks are ready to jettison the fact based education system. It makes me very sad.

support for public education has always been thin and flimsy—parents have had to be bought off and distracted by “local school boards” that simulate private clubs they can pretend to run

I mean, I appreciate this apology, but in truth this is a logical conclusion of what that stupid new law requires. It’s the legislature that should be apologizing.
