It’s about what Greenfield calls “the colonisation of everyday life by information processing”, and this new colonialism, in the author’s view, is so far no better than past versions.

Really? One can complain about crapgadgets like Google Glass and Amazon Echo, but to compare these to colonial soldiers mowing down natives with Gatling guns seems a wee bit inappropriate.
