An on-going thread of Trump's Legal woes

Shady Donations to a Con in Need of Cash…

Hmmmm

There might not be any law directly prohibiting the recipient of a pardon from making a huge political contribution to benefit the politician who issued the pardon. It could be argued that since technically, and theoretically, a super PAC is not directly controlled by the candidate himself, a donation to that isn’t the same as scratching the back of the person who pardoned you. But come on. The message here is clear. This sort of horseshit is the reason only about one in five Americans trust the government in Washington to mostly do the right thing.

“ As the criminal cases against him have piled up, the former president and 2024 GOP frontrunner has wondered aloud in recent months about what life would be like if he’s convicted, and if appeals fail. While Trump publicly professes confidence, privately, three sources familiar with his comments say, he’s been asking lawyers and other people close to him what a prison sentence would look like for a former American president.

Would he be sent to a “club fed” style prison — a place that’s relatively comfortable, as far these things go — or a “bad” prison? Would he serve out a sentence in a plush home confinement? Would government officials try to strip him of his lifetime Secret Service protections? What would they make him wear, if his enemies actually did ever get him in a cell — an unprecedented set of consequences for a former leader of the free world.”

And in a stunning development, the judge has already ordered the complete dissolution of the fabled Trump Organization–the tycoon’s pride and joy, the empire that made him famous and elevated him into the White House. The Trump Organization and its sister companies will be sent into receivership to be under the control of a court-appointed officer. via TheDailyBeast

HAHAHA! The juniors are going to be sooo happy about that!

I hear that making baseless demands for a judge to disqualify themselves from overseeing one’s trial is a fantastic way to endear oneself to the person who will likely be deciding their fate.

Bah, no one box.

tldr; Does the dissolution also affect where the Trumps are living since those are owned by the org.

I don’t generally read tabloid crap like Page Six but as publications go it’s apparently rated reasonably high for factual reliability.

Renegotiating a prenuptual agreement seems like a totally fine and normal thing to do in a stable and loving marriage, right?

Jezebel covered this, mainly to remind us of how friggin’ tall Baron is…

I mean, he kind of is…

Holy shit, he’s tall. Also, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a picture of him smiling. He always looks miserable… but if that were my dad… can’t say I blame him for being unhappy all the time…
