An on-going thread of Trump's Legal woes

That certainly describes Ginni Thomas. :person_shrugging:

I don’t think her aims and his diverge all that much, despite what she might say…

reading between the lines, their attempts to screw up the mail system to slow mail in votes ( the removal of sorting machines, etc. by dejoy ) helped to undermine their own fake elector scheme?

that is brilliant.

and there’s this guy again:

From there, Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and a Pennsylvania congressman assisted in the effort to get the documents into Pence’s hands

here’s the original article that raw story summarizes:

More than just a parade of horribles?

How are we counting the years since there was “telegraphing of incipient charges for serious crimes” for TFG? Like, three years since the last election? seven years since TFG won? Decades since it’s been common knowledge of his fraud and malfeasance in his businesses?

Please stop trying to hit him announcing the charges, and hit him charge him, already.

He did charge him. :woman_shrugging: Smith is in charge of the federal insurrection case.

On the one hand, there’s a lot to go through, and I get that Smith is being exhaustive and thorough, and he’s basically building to a massive super-buff combo finish…

But on the other hand, it’s been years of “wait for it… wait for it… wait for it…”

And, well, we’re waiting. Not just Americans, all of us. And while we’re waiting, TFG is just doubling down and stopped pretending not to be fascist. And I’m worried that one of the problems of building a super buff combo is that if you wait too long, the combo the other side has been preparing will go off first.

I know I’m being an eeyore, I’m just tired of the breathless announcements, and then nothing seeming to happen. The apparent endless disconnect is exhausting.

Yes, but my point is that he’s charged Trump, so that part is done. The “hold up” is due to Trump wanting to drag it out as long as possible. Once the courts rule on the immunity issue, which hopefully will happen soon, it goes back to the court and hopefully, they won’t need to change the date from March, which Judge Chutkin has already scheduled?

I feel your frustration, believe me. But for this kind of case, it was always going to drag out…

Well, but that’s our media, not Smith? They need stuff to talk about for the clicks, so every little thing gets ripped apart and reported on endlessly.

It’s done for the insurrection. Those “hypotheticals” haven’t been charged yet.

And the espionage charges. And the Georgia inductment for election interference.

If these crimes that are hinted at relate to the insurrection or espionage charges, they may not involve additional indictments but rather stronger evidence or potentially more severe penalties of what he’s already been charged with.

sigh My POINT was that Jack Smith has filed charges and he’s been indicted on those charges, not that every single crime he’s suspected of committing has been brought up in a court of law…
