I don’t think Trump actually likes Musk very much. And Musk is also facing his own lawsuits and has his own financial difficulties right now. Regardless, as Kathy pointed out above, in this case it was Evan Greenberg, not Elon Musk, who bailed Trump out.

Fulton County board of ethics decides they don’t have jurisdiction to investigate Fani Willis.
He’s at it again. New lawsuit filing in 3…2…1…
Trump’s attorneys:
Time for another 10x+ jump in the judgement.
ETA: I’ve got to wonder if Carroll’s lawyers have fill-in-the-blank filings ready, just needing to put dates in to file.
Nah, skip straight to contempt of court. This time he didn’t just defame Carroll, he defamed the judge, too. At some point, the $$$ is clearly not enough to dissuade him from not just defaming people but targeting them for attacks by his violent cultists. Time to put him in jail for a couple days to think about 4 very important letters he never learned at Wharton: S, T, F, and U.

I’m guessing he’s going to rule on whether or not Willis and Wade can continue on with the case today as well?
I have no clue how this impacts the rest of the case, but I can’t see this as a good thing…
Great minds and all…
The reasoning confuses me…
“They do not give the Defendants enough information to prepare their defenses intelligently, as the Defendants could have violated the Constitutions and thus the statute in dozens, if not hundreds, of distinct ways,” the order says.
So…because his actions may have violated the Constitution in not just one way, but in hundreds of ways, he can’t be prosecuted for it? I honestly don’t understand.
Maybe the judge signalling to the prosecution that the six counts should be twenty?
I don’t know. I need to go find his order and read it. I’m wondering if they can refile the charges and make them more specific. If so, this may not be the win for Trump it’s being presented as.
Ok, I read the order. Here’s a link if anyone is interested in reading it. I’m going to attempt a layman’s tl;dr. I actually agree with the judge.
The charges in question accuse Trump and the others, essentially, with soliciting public officials to violate their oaths. However, when you make that charge, you have to be specific in what terms of the oath are being violated. These charges technically do that, but in such a generic way that it’s not legally sufficient. It just says that the defendant’s solicited the public officials to violate the United States and Georgia Constitutions, something their oaths required them to protect. So the problem is not that Trump et al violated the Constitution in hundreds of ways. It’s that the US and Georgia Constitutions contain literally hundreds of clauses and provisions, and the charges need to point to exactly which ones of these the defendants were soliciting the public officials in question to violate. That’s a fair complaint, actually. It’s akin to to charging someone with “breaking the law”. Ok, which law, and how did they break it. Two other points. Trump’s lawyers wanted the entire indictment thrown out over this. The judge refused to do that, and made it clear that there was more than enough specificity and evidence to support the other charges. And he also leaves open the possibility to refile these charges, if the state can make them more specific.
The State may also seek a reindictment supplementing these six counts.
Thank you for this.
And thank you for your time.
It does give me a tiny bit of hope.
You are far too generous with your time. Thank you.
