This is easily a top 10 all-time animated sequence, maybe top 3. The futurists rejoice.

Loosely reminded me of the interstitial bits from Allegro non troppo and Hertzfeldt - but the scale alone is unique.

Yup. Just like quantum field theory, and the shape of the earth. We have a lot more practical evidence for evolution than either of those, though.
