I guess it depends on what you call “the oposition”. Every doctor I’ve ever talked to regarding vaccinations for my kids has made it very clear exactly what the (actual, not made up) risks are with respect to vaccinations (in fact, they even provided us with handy dandy pamphlets). It was never a case of “Vaccines are always good, and never harmful” but rather “Here are the risks from vaccination, they’re very small risks but they exist. You should be aware of them before you decide to vaccinate your children (which I still highly recommend)”. But that’s here in Ontario, where I’ve been blessed to have some great doctors for my kids. I’m not sure how things compare with other doctors, or other locales.
