You laugh, but BMW does this with their cars - they pipe fake vroomvroom noises into the cabin over the sound system.

It’s good to have some indicator that a runaway process is eating your battery charge, but it doesn’t say that fan audibility is tied to any metric.

Are they going to go the extra mile and start throttling performance in 3 months when the simulated fans get caked up with cruft? In for a penny, in for a pound!
