Huh, so apparently the fashion ads I’m actually familiar with are… JC Penny. The rest left me baffled, which I wasn’t expecting.
Agreed. A truly wonderful thing. The whole set is hilariously on point.
I think that “baffled” is the theme most fashion brands try to push.

He is certainly very good at striking daft modelling poses for the sort of photographs you might see in high fashion magazines, but not being brand fashion-conscious I also really only recognised the ‘non-high fashion’ style (the JC Penney ones).
(But he re-creates “editorials”? Not sure that word means what was intended here.)
The only ads I see for these fashion brands are whatever I flip past in the New York Times, which I guess are different from whatever he’s parodying? (Looking at ads in the paper today, it’s mostly just people standing awkwardly.) I assume I don’t even know the context for the joke he’s making…
