Reminiscent of the legendary Hagop Sandaldjian, featured at LA’s Museum of Jurassic Technology.

I was thinking the same thing. I remember the museum display noting that Sandaldjian’s work required such a steady hand that he had to time his movements between heartbeats. You have to see his work in person (through a magnifying glass of course) to truly appreciate it.

We still have our 3d view-master MoJT pics of Harold Dalton’s “micromosaics” – miniature birds, flowers, etc., created from diatoms and the scales of butterfly wings.
