Huh. I would think that the outside gasket would create a more concave surface, which would hurt aero. My Susie has a pretty close frame-to-window profile. Certainly more than the mid-2000s BMW 3-Series I had. Felt like more than a cm from frame-to-window.
Now I’m not a fan of Musk by any means.
But I invested far too much money in one of his poorly made death traps so I still feel the need to rationalize my purchase.
And I’d like to let you know that all cars can catch fire, and Teslas are a car therefore they’re just as safe. It’s basic logic. No need to look into the rate of fires compared to other cars. If they weren’t safe then why do they have [federally mandated feature] hmmm?
So how many internal combustion vehicles caught fire this weekend?
Also, the Model Y has a manual release door handle on the armrest. I’m sure he was panicking, but also, it’s literally there for that emergency egress reason.
I don’t know, but I think, based on that 2nd video, the more salient question might be, “how many internal combustion vehicles caught fire this weekend while parked at a dealership?”
