Even here, where the evidence seems pretty clear cut, there are people willing to twist their interpretation of events to exonerate someone.

As the article points out, most previous requests made by defendants were granted. So this one had the wrong judge on the wrong date. These events should also be cited when the people in favor of criminal justice system reform make their case.
