There are about 25 of us, but seeing as how taking down Stretch is Mechanic business that leaves about 18 for the ammo and the overpasses. Seems to me we should be able to complete them all, right?

If memory serves, I could go it alone if I’m willing to face off against one or two Raiders. I figure after I knock one out, the rest will think better of messing with me.
Raiders: They watch the no-man’s-land of the freeway carefully and will see you approaching, so there’s no avoiding them. But they are relatively cautious, and won’t risk a full assault on Drivers they aren’t familiar with. Still, reports indicate that they usually will send out two vehicles per intruder. A coin flip per Driver will decide whether one or two Raiders come out.
So it looks like I’m strapping on that RPG after all. “The best defense,” as the book says.

You mean one that remembers when the train is in motion and what the weather’s currently like?

Well, folks, as an extremely briefly wise man once said in his brief moment of wisdom…

I thought with only 1 or 2 raiders it would be more like this.

We must, indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately.

Er.

Umm.

Very kind of you, but I’m still out in the wasteland. We’re just talking by TCB. Besides, you already fixed me up, remember? I gave you those 4 LP when you came out looking for me with that repair kit and we had that little contretemps with those Raiders.

looking off into the horizon…

errr… I thought I seen a cloud on’da horizon…

a single salty tear escapes the grizzled mechanics creased and crow footed eye…

Darn sand storms!

wipes eye and walks back to the mechanics triage area…

Mission Roster update, Wednesday night

Mission 1

Mechs only. Require two groups: one with high SP, another with high EN

Signed up:
Mickey “Sponge” high EN
Bill the BUM high SP
Clankenstein high-ish SP and EN

Mission 2

Multiple teams required

2Aa – needs SP and MV (eg scouts.)
Signed up: “Kinfe” Boyer @drman321 (escort), Sven “swedish chef” Larson @Tetrix (scout) Desmond Balter @SteampunkBanana (scout) Major Talleyrand (peregrinus_bis) (scout)

2Ab – wants AR FP EN (eg escorts)
Signed up: Momo @patrace (escort)
LIkely: Sir Gonevill ( daneel) (escort)

2B – wants EN
signed up: “Honey” Malone @kyntha (scout) Channing Hunter @gwwar (escort) Wizard @thewizardofwas (escort)

2C – wants TQ, Sp and EN helpful
signed up: Bertie Gomez @Palomeque(mule) Junior @funruly (mule)

Misson 3

Needs at least one mule who is apparently Rideword @Solomon.

Other Drivers should push either (FP and AR), or (SP and MV) - but so far no one has signed up.

Preliminary analysis

Mission 1 is mechs only. There are seven mechs, three signed up so far.

Mission 2 is complicated, requiring a lot of team work. 2A and 2B seems covered. Perhaps Momo will switch from 2Ab and join 2Aa. 2C has the necessary torque, and enough escorts on 2A and 2B that this mission is looking good.

Mission 3 is looking forlorn at the moment. Rideworld is badass mofo for trying to take this on his own; our mules are too valuable to leave uncovered like this. Also, Mission 3 is looking risky as all hell, and not particularly rewarding. But we have to clear that over pass for the ark. Sure looks like “taking one for the team…”

I am leaning towards 2Aa or 3 myself, but I’ll wait and see where I can be the most helpful

Please post additions, corrections, and clarifications. Thanks.

I am on 2Aa, as is Major Talleyrand-LaRoche and I believe The Swedish Chief (@tetrix) is on 2Ab…

I know for certain Clankenstein is on 1 with Bill the Bum.

updated. thank you .

Momo is an escort, I thought? As is Channing.

Rideword is the mule on 3.

I’m probably on 2Ab. Could swap to either 2B or 3. The Grifo is good at making things go boom but is a bit of a barge.

Note that for the purposes of this mission, those choosing Aa or Ab are essentially acting as escorts for those choosing B and C (that is their role in the mission). So it isn’t necessary to have escorts on B and C (and unless they have the right stat for those missions, it’d be less helpful than having them on A).

Any Jane’s Heroes mission assumes teamwork and full cooperation - for other missions that isn’t the case and you have to work that out yourselves (or not). That’s why the mission is broken down into different options suited to certain types of vehicles.
