I remember 30 years ago when the TABC tried to (or briefly did) ban Dixie’s Blackened Voodoo Lager because the label suggested the occult:

Dixie brewery changed its name to Faubourg, which is oh so much better.

There are putti on greeting cards that have more obvious, um, appendages than what’s on that label.

I have never tried a Flying Dog brew I didn’t V much enjoy. The labels are the icing on the cake.

The Steadman docco, For No Good Reason (2012) is wonderful.

Caruso says he suspects that “tail-like thing” is what triggered the ban.

That’s wordplay. The full sentence reads

“The regulation is, on its face, in constitutional “bad taste,” as it is in clear violation of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.”

constitutional modifies " in bad taste".
