The Teelings stuff was so-so. The distillery is next to my hotel so I walked over there. It tasted like Jim Beam frankly, and I said so to the tour guide who admitted it was mostly corn and only 30% barley. Essentially its an American bourbon, distilled in Dublin. Booo
I fly out at 5am. Just enough time to visit some spots in The Liberties.
Youāre pretty close to Thomas House on Thomas Street, so if youāre looking for a local pint, Iād recommend there. If youāre in the city centre, Iād recommend The Foggy Dew adjacent to the Central Bank in Temple Bar.
Apparantly Thomas House have some Kneecap merch on sale in the form of Tricolour balaclavas. They cost 25 euro and you get a beer included in the price! Obviously thatās an offer you donāt want to miss!
Itās at the back of Magnum Ireland with everyone dancing on the tables.
Which is how I remember it but I havenāt been there in a long time. Iād be more upstairs at Arthurās round the corner for a gig these days (jazz or, well last one I went to was a Korean steel percussionist with Ronan OāSnodaigh supporting). Havenāt been to the Fumbally Stables for a show in ages but they had good jazz and experimental shows at one point.
