I’m opening an account on here as I feel compelled to offer an answer: there is work being done on the fringes of time-lapse which is a lot more interesting than the usual stuff that gets posted on aggregators. I just saw Peter Bo Rappmund’s TOPOPHILIA at the MoMA in New York. It is an amazing film. Instead of the typical well visited sites used too often in time-lapse films, this one followed the entirety of the Trans Alaska Pipeline. Hopefully BoingBoing will post his work sometime as it seems right up their alley:
