Yeah; the news that it was an even-more-specialized procedure than surgery did not actually help the cause, for me, though I’m glad of the instruction.
The problem here is not whether modern medicine could intervene with lower risk than surgery, but he had a heart attack. I’m not aware of any better indicator of future heart attack, than a history of even one heart attack.
The way I see this is that this isn’t a huge deal, considering Bernie’s been treated and seems to be doing just fine.
But some people in this thread are refusing to accept that it is any kind of a deal at all. Which… doesn’t quite make sense to me.
I bet Howard Dean’s somewhere, looking at this, and quietly shaking his head at the ironical realities of unpredictable political fortune.
