Over the holidays, we were watching the 1953 film, Knights of the Round Table and were surprised that much of the sound track was reminiscent of the themes in Star Wars. Of course, Miklós Rózsa used much of the same stuff in Ben Hur and El Cid.

Actually the Captain Scarlet theme is pretty good too.
I used to have a CD of ska covers of TV themes that had a good version, but I lost it in the sands of time and don’t even remember who did it.
