not sure the right place for this, but the handling of dexter wade’s death reminds me of it.
it’s basically about why cops after killing someone interrogate family members instead of informing them.
apparently, at least in ca, there’s a private company ( lexipol ) which has contracts with nearly all of the police departments there - and they have been recommending police handle things this way. ( at least until they were caught doing it. )
they not only do training, they actually write policy for departments.
