those two women at the beginning: 1) how could t**** be so successful unless god was with him, and 2) t**** might not even be aware of how god is using him… i have heard both of those from my own family and the sentiment still surprises me.
of course they know there are plenty of successful people who only got there by cheating, and that there are plenty of people causing harm who have positions of power – but somehow, magically – they know who’s backed by god and who’s doing the devil’s work.
it’s almost like they make up their mind first, and ascribe the holy power second. go figure
