First of all I never said I was above speculating, and I’m not. I said I wasn’t speculating in the instances given, and I wasn’t. You can find plenty of articles and CPD missives acknowledging that 2013 didn’t go well and 2015 would be better because of a change in tactics. It’s also precisely what occurred. In 2013 there was full riot gear, police were constantly trying to clear streets & it led to unnecessary confrontation. This year they gave up the riot gear, gave over 4 blocks to revelry for hours and there were fewer riotous acts.
Secondly there is not one thing wrong with speculation in a complex discussion. It happens and it’s good.

Most conversations involve speculation and man would they suck balls if they didn’t.
