That’s amazing. I wish I were even a quarter that intrepid.
I’d be curious whether he noticed a substantial difference in treatment between the States and the rest of the world, and which was friendlier to visit.

I’ve actually met him a few years ago in Patagonia when he was on his way to Antarctica. We did some horseback riding and had a nice chat. He told me about his book, how he dealt with money and other very interesting stories. Very cool guy.

How does he support himself while traveling? Did the BBC program mention this.
If I recall correctly, he collects some sort of assistance from the British government.
