I’m a big fan of Matisyahu, speaking of the genre of… Jewish cultural hip hop? I dunno if there’s another name for it. Jewcore? That sounds offensive. Anyways, he’s great:
His stuff is nice because he’s actually just mostly telling upbeat scripture stories. It’s optimistic and not poking fun at the culture like a lot of genre rappers do for their niches. He’s more about celebrating the nice stories. He also has a bit of reggae sound which will get me every time.
