As incredible as projection-mapping looks in this video, it’s even more astounding to see in person. Anyone who has seen Amon Tobin’s ISAM project will know what I’m talking about. I saw him perform a few years ago in Chicago and midway through the show, I began to worry for anyone who might have decided to pre-game with hallucinogens.
Kids these days. Why in my day we just called that “projection” and we reserved “projection mapping” for when we were actually projection mapping.
