Okay, so I’m trying King Oscar sardines today, with crackers and macaroni salad. Threw some fresh spinach in for greens.
I concur! I had some yesterday on crackers with Frank’s Sweet Chili Sauce. Not bad at all.
I bought my first can of sardines over a decade ago to make that Good Eats recipe.
I still make it occasionally, though I put a little hot sauce under the sardines which can replace a little of the acid and skip the parsley.
My absolute favorite sardine recipe is pasta con le sarde though which is a truly delicious, albeit a bit weird, dish. I make it a couple times a month.
