Call me intrigued! Also call me amused at the vaguely Burning Man reference.
It’s a bit more than “vague”; they even torch a giant cat effigy ^^’.
would like to know what they’re doing to foster inclusion and stamp.out misogyny and gatekeeping at their event.
I was relieved to see that neither Ja Rule or Mr. McFarland will be involved.
I wonder how cathartic it would be to do that on a smaller scale…
I don’t know how this compares to other event policies, but check out https://burningcat.com/policies and the Code of Conduct section.
Well yes… someone on Reddit recently implied this was dumb commercialization of the whole Burning Man thing so I wanted to be vague there…
Hey now bub… effigies only. EFFIGIES ONLY.
I could just imagine my kitteh watching a straw cat burn, and thinking one of two things:
“Whoa, I wonder what he did wrong?” or
“So that’s why she never lets me play with candles!”
My cat is so fluffy, she somehow already knows she’s WAY too flammable for anyone’s good (although she’s never had a negative experience w/ flame). Not a fan of fires ^^’.
My dad’s cat, on the other hand, would roast his butt by a roaring fire. Go figure.
Mine is fascinated by flames, and the shadows cast by firelight. She also never met a heat source she didn’t like, so if we have a prolonged power failure, it turns into a game of keep-the-kitty-away-from-the-candle. Maybe she was a moth in a past life.
