Lol it’s cute you think this isn’t being done almost everywhere by every retailer.
This is a very big industry. You probably can’t go into any major mall in the US and not be subject to in-store analytics.

It’s only a matter of time before they take this to its logical conclusion and link the (doubtless poorly secured) facial recognition data to social media profiles. I’m sure black-hat hackers are eagerly anticipating the opportunities.
Exactly. Isn’t this basically what it was built for (outside of gov applications, that is)? Since the time facial rec came around I thought it’s been an open secret that identification and tracking in retail outlets was a major application.
