disagree. it is a silly teen-age movie, but it was told extremely well. the writing is well-paced and at the helm is director Carl Reiner, who knows a little something about the delivery of comedy material. he appears in the opening credit sequence, too. he’s the teacher who wins the lottery on the last day of school and gleefully quits, necessitating the principal’s recruitment of Harmon to teach Reiner’s summer school English class.

Agreed. I don’t remember anything about the film except Chainsaw and Dave, but they were everything I wanted to be back then.
