These scrap parts probably aren’t that expensive. The main cost appears to be the time of the workers and the initial investment in equipment. Depending on where you live, you might be near a hackerspace with a machine shop and/or tool library. A project like this would take a good amount of time for one person though. The chair would be a lot easier than any of the tables or desks.
