I was rather hoping for an actual trapeze transfer. While it’s fairly interesting. simple pendulum mechanics can produce a range of motion close to the same; a lot of it is calculating the moment at a given point in the swing, so the ‘knees’ and ‘hips’ fold at the right time.

How long until we can buy tabletop robotic dancers and acrobats with incomprehensibly exquisite moves for our kids to play with at home?
Reminds me of that one SNL skit: Invading aliens land on Earth (obviously, they have the tech), but their weapons are blunderbusses.
a spacecraft using this hardware could de-orbit satellite junk using only momentum and relative mass.
