Leaf cutter ants never cease to amaze me.
Leafcutters are amazing critters. I’ve seen leaf cutter colonies 15-20 years old that have removed every leaf on every plant in a 10 meter radius and had fungus farms 10 ft deep. And there are 2 species in Texas and Louisiana for people in the US that haven’t seen them
Those are wonderful bugs. If you suspect critters like bedbugs or fleas in your mattress, lay it on an ant column, they’ll swarm through it and thoroughly clean out vermin, their eggs, and any cookie crumbs or whatever else they think is edible.
1] How do I persuade the ants to vacate the matress when they are done?
2] Will they be expecting a tip? How large?
