To me it sounds like a cross of The Doobie Brothers and Phish, I like it and I hope you do to!
Edit: After reading up on him and his style, he’s been referred to as “Hendrix of the Sahara”.

Plus I’m partial to lefty guitarists just like me. :+1:

Whatever you think of him, he’s no Eddie Van Halen.

I first came upon Moctar as a recommendation on Tidal and have been hooked since. Really original, interesting, and beautiful music. Highly recommended, especially if you want something likely different from anything you’ve heard before.

I got to see him perform at a screening of Akounak Tedalat Taha Tazoughai and the whole experience was magical as hell. He told the story of his first guitar, homemade, strung with bike cable.
