Good. An awful lot of the plastic waste ending in the sea comes from rivers passing through China; this should help reduce that quite a bit.

China is an awful big country to ban stuff in … I hope it goes well for them.
This is how you make a difference. A cup is the same as a straw is the same as a clamshell food wrapper.
Everyone knows our use of plastic is unsustainable, and governments are mostly ignoring the problem, subsidizing companies to let them go for maximum profit rather than charging them for cleaning up after themselves, and finding more human-friendly solutions.
Good for China - they’re not yet completely under the thumb of international corporations.
