Whatever you do, don’t let it travel back in time. Who knows what might happen if it did: the Vikings colonizing North America 500ish years before Columbus’s voyage might be a minor thing compared to the change this Furby could inspire!
The sounds remind me of the old days when I’d spin the (analogue) radio dial looking for something interesting. Especially at night, when far distant stations added to the mix and you got lots of crosstalk.

before google maps arrived I purchased a furby for my bosses son…
she said why did you buy that… that was before she got together with a mate
and asked me what was useful on the internet…
she wanted to take it over so to speak…
In the context of pentacostal furbies I’d argue that ‘slain in the circuit’ is more accurate than ‘circuit bent’.
