The boat in that painting always did remind me of a pirate ship ride, such as this one from Skegness:

Dang. I wish animated gifs worked as desktop images on Mac - that would totally be mine. (Yep: I tried it - no animation, just the first frame.)

I’m not sure if there is a built in way, there must be since apple has some animated desktop backgrounds…
