Seeing little kids traveling in airports with a stuffed animal. Gets me every time. My oldest is past that age. Youngest always has one in tow. Middle kid decides that day if she wants to be like her big or little sister.

For a while, my youngest carried an elk from Ikea, which basically took up her entire carry-on backpack with the head sticking out the drawstring top. This was many years before Frozen. Multiple times, every trip, some well-meaning stranger would look at her and smile and say something about her ‘moose’ and we’d all say simultaneously “it’s an ELK”. Guess you had to be there, but it was funny (to us).
