Keep in mind that in the U.S. copyright law already explicitly allows you to sell any copyrighted items that you own. The IP overlords have since structured transactions in such a way that you never actually own anything. Instead you pay for a non-transferable license to use their IP. I suspect that they come up with a similar dodge around this law in the unlikely event that it is passes and signed into law.
