Well, to be fair, if you do an image search for “Kardashian,” you’ll see pretty good evidence that the early stages of trans-humans are already walking around with something like 15-20% non-organic mods.
But this idea that transsexual/transgender people existing in our society relatively free from violent persecution will somehow make being trans so attractive that the majority will just abandon their previous gender/sexual identity is so telling. I can’t speak for all straight people, but seeing a transgender person go about their life doesn’t actually make me want to abandon my own gender or sexuality, and I’d wager that most cisgender people feel the same way. Just like seeing a gay couple existing in the grocery store doesn’t make me want to abandon my marriage and dissolve the institution itself. Weird, innit?
