Continuing coronavirus happenings (Part 1)

From what I understand, other campuses printed maps designating flow through campuses and buildings, and some put up signs. Duke roped off walkways and made them one-way and stationed student monitors to control building ingress/egress during high traffic times. So while, nominally, it’s the same thing, practically it’s completely different than the haphazard approach taken by schools like UNC and Syracuse.

Then how do the Danes keep their forests from burning?

It is true though, when I lived in Norway we imported Finnish black metal bands to work in the forests.

I have some doubts about that. Not because of the Covid thing, I just really wonder how many motorcycle gang types actually listen to Smashmouth…

The US rush to plasma as a therapeutic was always a bit iffy. It didn’t have trials associated with it. It was as hoc except on a large scale. Large scale trial is ongoing in the UK. We will have a much better idea when the results are in from that.

There are some exceptions to the new rules. Households and support bubbles bigger than six can socialise together - but not with anyone else at the same time - and gatherings can be more than six if it is for work or education purposes. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, [said the new rules(https://twitter.com/JustinWelby/status/1303613679901061121?s=20) did not affect places of worship as that is “not a social gathering”. And Parkrun - [which earlier this week announced it was to resume in England(Parkrun to resume in England by end of October - BBC Sport) - is “unaffected” as it is an organised sport, its organisers said.

Seriously? Easy to understand rules?
