Oh, he’s not marking those graves. Or digging deeply.
someone said “i bet you look pretty with that mask off” to a co-worker. thankfully my coworker didn’t hear them ( the small blessings of mask muffling ), another has been sexually harassed on two different occasions while heading home for the day –
ive heard that crime is down, but apparently men can’t keep their misogyny quarantined for very long
Remember the 40 cases tracked after a Baptist church service in Frankfurt am Main, Germany?
Well, we are at 107 in this cluster today, most of them infected at home.
Given that the infection rate in households with index patients has been reported (as far as I remember in multiple studies) to hover around 15 % (which is interestingly low), the number alone is interesting in its own right. Health services will take note, and Frankfurt (as epicenter of this outbreak) is also a centre of medical research, so I am positive something good might come of it.
Also, by the way, it still seems all measures imposed upon church services were adhered to. That means 1.5 m minimal distance (except for family), sanitizer and soap must be available, rules must be publicly visible. Which, obviously, isn’t enough.
What possibly makes contact tracing much, much easier: at least where I live, churchgoers must make an appointment with the church before going, and the church keeps contact details of everyone.
Lack of humanity.

There’s a covid ICU doc over on Reddit who made a post yesterday that describes the progression of severe covid infection. I’ll post it here to save you from going to reddit, but I’ll blur it because it’s unpleasant.
Am a doctor and this is how the most severe cases of COVID goes:
Patient has low oxygen levels in an emergency room. Start a little oxygen tube in their nose. They do better for a few hours, then levels continue to go down. Then you put on a loose facemask of oxygen. Again, better for a few more hours, but then as oxygen levels decline, you need to put on CPAP or BIPAP which forcefully pushes oxygen into the lungs. That can keep oxygen levels okay until, whaddyaknow, oxygen levels keep decreasing.
At that point, you have the maximum oxygen going in, and the patient’s oxygen level is still too low, so you have to put in a breathing tube and put patient on a ventilator to push oxygen in at levels that would not be tolerated due to discomfort.
Then you keep increasing that oxygen level and pressure, eventually giving medicine to paralyze the patient because their muscles are trying to fight the ventilator. All-the-while, the patient is being flipped over by a big team of nurses every 8 hours to keep fluid from setting to the bottom of their lungs. Meanwhile, you are giving the other anti-inflammatory medications, and eventually despite doing everything in your power, the patient’s oxygen levels continue to drop. At that point, there is just nothing in your power you can do, as the lung damage is just too severe, and despite a machine breathing for them at maximum settings, their brain is being damaged because it is just not enough.
If you were to not escalate the care at any time earlier in this pathway, you would just get earlier brain damage - not escalating to the next breathing treatment would likely kill a patient quickly.
Source: Took care of many patients in the COVID ICU. It was horrible to see, despite doing everything medically indicated, many of our patients died. Such a sad situation, very difficult for everyone. Continue to wear your facemasks please.
?
What was that in response to?
I’m sorry for the social pressure you are under, but exercises without a mask should be ok and safe outdoors if you keep your distance. I hope you can find an area where there are no people you would have come close to.
So, by this “logic,” you don’t need to be carrying around your concealed handgun, your AR-15, or any of that stuff because “God’s got you covered.”
Everything.
Specifically, Johnson giving Cummings the OK to do whatever the fuck he wants today.
Nah, I won’t bet against you on this…
I’ll buy you a drink though when it’s safe again to do so.
Whoa. Cluster sounds about right.
We’ve covered this before, but covidiots are really good at cherry picking their bible verses
Bullshit. Playing the hacked card when it’s far more likely to be one of the many pissed off civil servants these days.
