I’m going to take a wild guess as to where the bulk of that scrutiny is going to fall…

If you watch the video, they’re mostly talking about identity thieves, but yes, they’re also looking at misrepresentation. I figure all the states are.

Claims like this make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. There are still many unknowns with Covid-19, and too many healthcare companies or government agencies chomping at the bit for any excuse to start profiling people based on DNA. I’d like to see more doctors and scientist weigh in on this, because DNA was in the news for other reasons earlier this year:

The last thing we need are pandemic privateers violating people’s privacy in their quest for profit because the health of the market is at risk.

I never did see a single Yeti in Gattaca so y’all’re probably (?) ok.

Am relying on y’all to save the planet. Whether that includes saving humans is an open question. Can hardly blame any sentient being for looking at the human species and saying basta!

ETA: added link to wikipedia entry for Gattaca

Bad news: There’s this thing called climate change…

The Tas economy is heavily dependent upon both tourism and FIFO workers.

They’ll slam the borders shut again if there’s the slightest hint of an outbreak.
