Continuing coronavirus happenings (Part 1)

Weekend shopping trips to Salthill in Galway? Runs to the Halal shops in Balaghadereen for decent spices?

Castlebar has a decent technology corridor, ironically with a healthcare focus.

“Hide and watch” is a pretty standard line around here, but given the number of aggressively contagious idiots running around the WH nowadays, I might shorten it to just “Hide!”

Also, bad boss, exposing people who work for him to a deadly virus. Asshole.

He decided not to self quarantine, but has he been tested?

Also statistically speaking, it’s unlikely that every single high profile Repub who is currently infected will all have a full recovery. The darker side of my nature can’t help but wonder if Vegas has odds going on who doesn’t survive…

Where has Wilbur Ross been hiding?

Exactly what I’ve been saying for some time. I understand the logic, I guess, but I hate it a lot.

Most of my friends and family are preparing for the long haul, but concerned about the folks who had a very negative reaction to medical guidelines and area shutdowns that lasted about 90 days. The way they’ve been acting out so far, it might get a lot worse by this time next year.

I’m hoping a new administration can quickly set up systems that make it easier to call social workers and mental health specialists instead of police. We’re gonna need it.

Amen. The increased amount of mental health crises I have seen in the last couple weeks is actually frightening, and I don’t scare. (On medical stuff, at least.) I have noticed it especially among my autistic patients. Uncertainty and lack ofroutine is exceptionally bad for them.

That’s one way to highlight your opponent’s party’s lackluster approach to the virus

That’s some epic trolling:

Since the schools here in Poland reopened last month, the case count has skyrocketed. Before that the government handled pandemic reasonably well, but now they don’t do much and just say that “we have to learn to live with new numbers”. What’s interesting, is that considering are-related death rates, they are literally killing off they own voter base. Universities reopened this month so the worst is yet to come. Czech Republic is facing similar rise in cases.
It’s all so disappointing.
