You know, this may be an “out” I am willing to let them believe in. As long as they get vaccinated, let them bathe in Borax and gargle with kerosene. I’d even spread a few sillier theories on social media to make it even easier for the idiots to get vaccinated. Whatever it takes.

Just learned that the VA currently has a flu vaccine mandate in addition to the coronavirus mandate.

Yup. In the last 2 months, we have lost 2 nurse practitioners, 2 nurses and 1 receptionist. 3 of those were for better jobs, 1 was to go back to school (and get a better job), and 1 was over the covid vaccine mandate. I wish them all well, but the consequence is that the rest of us are left to work harder. This does nothing to promote retention, and the efforts at hiring are failing miserably. Which I understand, I mean why would anybody volunteer for what we do, unless you are a masochist or trying for sainthood? We keep going, but damn, it gets harder all the time.

The pastor of a Nova Scotia church that hosted an event linked to a COVID-19 spike and three deaths

I suggest the government remove their tax-exempt, charitable organization status, right up to the head office level, and suggest that it’s “God’s plan” they serve as a warning for others.

Today:

I’m sorry for everyone working in a hospital .

Just listened to an interview by the scientific head of the German national ICU register. Regarding nursing, and healthcare jobs in general, the situation is dire. If I understood correctly, about 10% quit, and many more reduced hours (which, as he stated, is a good thing for them, since workload is taking a terrible toll on the health of the professional, but also a problem, since hospitals can’t employ someone else on those positions - so they can’t work to full capacity. This lead to a massive decline in the available ICUs over the course of the last year.

Trump, the second son of twice-impeached president Donald Trump, reportedly commands between $50,000 and $100,000 for public speaking appearances. At “The Truth About Cancer Live,” he didn’t have to work very hard for it. Trump uttered the word “cancer” exactly zero times during his rambling 28-minute diatribe, which was basically a stump speech for his father that focused on demonizing Democrats for “weaponizing” all facets of U.S. life against populist America.

“[Democrats] weaponize the media,” Trump said. “They weaponize social media, they weaponize the military, the Department of Justice, they weaponize the FBI. They weaponize lower education, higher education. … They certainly weaponize corporate America. … This is how [the Democrats] achieve that power grab. And, guys, it’s got to scare all of us.”

Does it count as projection if it’s stuff they’ve already done, publicly?
