Two :canada: resources I wish I’d seen earlier. The first is very approachable for general questions about COVID-19.

COVID-19 Rapid Evidence Access Link - University of Toronto - Dala Lanna School of Public Health

REAL Notes are brief, high-level summaries of existing evidence and guidance that are prepared by our team in consultation with experts, drawing upon trusted sources and curated collections of COVID-19 research. We will consider questions that apply in general to population and community health as well as about the healthcare system

The other is from McMaster University, which has one of our leading Ontario :canada: research and teaching hospitals. This is much more detailed and oriented towards health policy decision makers.

We could have used these 2 years ago, eh?

I really wonder what China’s endgame for dealing with the virus is going to be, since they are still pursuing a strong “zero covid” policy which likely can’t last forever. If they do eventually lower their guard and allow it to spread as an endemic disease it’s likely that much of the effectivity of their (already not-great) domestic vaccines would have waned significantly by the time large numbers of people get exposed.

Pretty rough that the folks in Xi’an (with a population larger than all of Denmark and Norway combined!) can’t even leave their homes every couple days to get groceries. Imagine the logistics it must take to deliver food to that many homes.

Talk about a plot twist!

Not so great for the main protection, but a good booster. Huh.
