Would you believe I sometimes buy Halal meat just because, as a programmer, it feels like an extra feature? Like, it’s been certified by one more body; it’s got an extra box point! (i know. i’m nuts)

I made Potato Rolls for the first time last night (this recipe), to go with vegan garam masala bean burgers. I used to buy potato rolls sometimes when I lived in Maryland. They are so good

Today’s lunch: chana matar dal. I’m trying to slim a bit in prep for this weekend. All veggie. I used a tsp of chili powder with cinnamon for the spice. It’s good.

edit, I hadn’t eaten and my hands were shaking when I took this godawful blurry pic!

I have been treading a fine line… trying to consume less because in two days, I know I’m going to consume a lot… But in the meantime, I just get a litttttttle loooooopy. Not trying to offend in that other thread, ok?

The other thread isn’t offensive, it is a very complex thing with no right or wrong answer. As for loopy, I am very much that at the moment as I have a head cold and still, obviously, have to look after an infant. As an added bonus, she seems to have caught it too.

This isn’t for infants, but for adults I swear by horseradish for head colds. Only lasts ten minutes or so, but it opens your sinuses, ears, and eyes.

I wonder why they renamed it from ā€œThe Great British Bake-Offā€ for US audiences?

It is hard for me to watch. I’m only on episode two and ive made every damn mistake they’ve shown.

The biscuit/crackers felt like a gut punch. Depending on your oven it literally can be a few grams of water or fifteen seconds that makes them.

Instead, I’m watching idiots blow enormous amounts of money on building ludicrous houses on Grand Designs.

Love that show. Isn’t that the show where they redid the tower thingy in London?

Even though it’s hotter than Satan’s underpants in my kitchen and I’m sick I managed to make dinner for my little family. Homemade arancini and a salad.

Pesto and bocconcini filling. I am technically not a vegetarian, had the most delicious chicken pad garlic for lunch. But my husband is, so everything I cook is vegetarian.

Also, how familiar are you with Satan’s nether regions?
