No. They wouldn’t have black for anything. If it is to be smoke, it would have to be orange smoke in praise of their god.
Not due to defunding talks. These slashings happened on May 30th, when the defunding talks didn’t start until at least a few days into June. This is VERY early the protests, when things were hot, and every day we’re seeing more and more about how and why things keep escalating.
Oh, its an old, old old tactic. I had it happen to me nearly 50 years ago. What’s new is that almost everyone nowadays has a film studio in their pocket.
We drove to Guatemala a few years after the peace accord was signed. Lots of fighters out in the hills no longer had jobs as fighters. Q: How to put them to work? A: Hire armed guards. We saw many guys with shotguns protecting stores, housing compounds, even truckloads of returned beer and soda bottles. The number of guards decreased over the years as situation improved. Fewer armed guys meant safer times.
What to do with cashiered corrupt criminal cops in the US? They can work security at gated communities. Give-em BB guns for deterrence.
Or boot the car. Of course both of these less awful ideas are still completely unacceptable - they should not be fucking with peoples tires.
Of course the real point of this was to send a message. You know, to instill fear…terror, if you will.
“…stop behaviors such as vehicles driving dangerously…in and around protesters and law enforcement”
Because cars with flat tires aren’t dangerous or unstable.
…and it’s always the cops at the rotten heart of it.
Friendly reminder that fascist trolls on social media routinely steal identities. That’s what an actual agent provocateur is. Not elderly peaceful protestors who get their brains beat out by police thugs on New York sidewalks.
He who writes the Laws, gives the Orders.
Just when I start to come around to “Not all cops are racist” the “All cops are assholes” movement starts.
Cars have to be disabled by police at a cost to the owner of hundreds of dollars so they can’t be used as a weapon, but protesters are allowed to carry assault rifles into the Statehouse because that’s their constitutional right. Something isn’t right here. Shame on the Founding Fathers for not foreseeing cars in our future and ensconcing our right to drive them in the constitution.
Remember this as the police riots of 2020.
Yeah, it is everywhere
Was he unhappy about the mennonite-ish folks protesting in Minneapolis, or just an asshole? Are those different?
I have heard the term “riot squad” but had not realized that meant Gov’t supported and trained rioters.
@Carbonman
Wrong, the cop on the right yes that is a 37 or 40mm gas launcher. But the one on the left has an AR with shortie suppressor, possibly a Surefire model. Look closely the rifle has a standard magazine, and the suppressor has a small exit hole not big enough for gas munitions. See: https://www.surefire.com/products/suppressors-division/suppressors/socom556-mini2/
Holy shit, on further review, this is even more fucked up. This cop’s brother was just arrested and charged with murdering a Mennonite woman. Was this his idea of “vengeance?”
aka Dollies
They should be RICOed into submission.
omelette omelette omelette
Exactly. There weren’t any tanks or humvees in Birmingham or Selma in the 1960s and the action there was many times worse than what we’ve seen so far this months.
Henry Kissinger, in one of his few honest moments, once said that power does not corrupt. What corrupts is freedom from consequences.
