Um. Masks and distancing, that’s how we do it now.

This is just rude to those of us who live places where fiber isn’t available

Sure kids we have fiber trunks but it’s all copper to your house.

Speak for yourself. I have a fiber line that ends on the side of the garage with an Ethernet cable from it to the router. Had one in our last house, and when we moved we only looked at houses that also had one.

It’s glorious.

(Even if I dislike the company that provides it.)

I"m sorry.

I not only have copper to the house, but also the trunks. Despite that somehow I get a bit over 300Mbit (and low latency), which is pretty amazing since copper pairs use to top out at around 1.5Mbit/sec. Sure I would like 1Gbit/sec better, but day to day this is better then I would have expected.

Whenever something takes a long time to load, “Loading Bar” by Vi Hart plays in my head: https://soundcloud.com/vihartvihart/loading-bar

Full version of Claire De Lune on theramin, seems to be a similar if not the same as used in the commercial:

THe artist in that video would prefer you listen to his newer stuff tho…

This explains a lot.

I’m not fond of the theremin but the guy is very obviously quite good.

Who is responsible for this trend of verbing nouns? I’m seeing it all over. How we internet.
Sarah Cooper is a repeat offender, but she’s satiring so I’ll give her a pass.
Or maybe it’s not even a trend, maybe I’m just noticing?

Shakespeare. So, a kind of long-running trend.

Good answer. Cheers.

End to end fiber in my neighborhood. And it is glorious.
