Wow, that’s pretty good.

But am I the only one slightly disappointed it’s not a Spandau Ballet cover?

Hmmm

Little slow for it to be an instant hit for me (remember, I’m a simpleton craving a driving beat.) But, that is going to prompt a couple more listens. Very crunchy drums and discordant guitars. Very 90s. 90s me probably would have listened to this 10 times and it be something he likes.

Gave this a watch on the train in to work this morning, and it’s good stuff. I do wonder if Trent contributed more than just vocals, as some of the production sounds very NIN.
There’s a lot of really good creepy imagery in the video too. The weird siamese twin thing was particularly unsettling. A good dose of body horror, reminiscent of Society and The Thing.

i thought of Spandau Ballet too – really want to hear their take on that now.

Well it certainly doesn’t sound like Boingo or the Edward Scissorhands soundtrack.

speaking of unsettling…

Danny Elfman on Epitaph records is just something that is really fucking up the small blob of my brain that is forever stuck at 19.

Kinda half Laibach half Killing Joke IMO. Which is not a bad thing.
